Stay together v. separate: Goodridges reportedly split
It's been revealed that Julie and Hilary Goodridge -- the plaintiffs whose name adorns Goodridge vs. Department of Public Health, the legendary lawsuit that brought gay marriage to Massachusetts -- have split after 21 years of partnership.
In happier legendary civil rights court case coupling news, however, we hear that "Board of Education" has managed to stay together in the 52 years since it was challenged by "Brown." So that's something.
No word on the relationship status of participants (or their ghosts) from Lawrence vs. Texas, Plessy vs. Ferguson, Romer vs. Evans, Roe vs. Wade, Scopes vs. State, Kramer vs. Kramer, Spy vs. Spy, or Pearl Jam's Vs. album; we promise to keep you posted.
