'Bama keeps the bannin' a'comin'

by Jeremy Hooper

Sen. Hank Erwin Jr. is sponsoring legislation in Alabama that would bar homo-gays in the "Heart of Dixie" from adopting children.

Word of this new pile of dung comes less than a month after the 'Bama Senate voted unanimously to give final approval to an amendment banning homo-gay marriage (although 5 Democrats did choose to withhold their vote...thanks for sticking up for us kids).

And then there was the news in February that the state's Republican Legislative Committee sponsored a flier attacking Democrat Gloria Dolbare for not signing a pledge in support of an amendment to ban same-sex marriages.

Oh, and let's not forget about that doozie from December calling for a ban on "gay speech" from any institution receiving state money.

::sigh:: Booked your Birmingham summer share yet, gays?
