Homophobes or Irate Flight Attendants? You decide.

by Jeremy Hooper

An upstate NY church that supports gay marriage rights was recently vandalized, with the perpetrator(s) scrawling the misspelled message "FLY STRAIT OR DIE" on a refrigerator sitting outside of the building.

All evidence would lead one to believe that this is the work of anti-gay meanies.

However, we have a happier theory: Perhaps the perpetrators were not homophobes, but rather extremely spelling challenged flight attendants fed up with the unnecessary turbulence caused by overweight pilots. Their intended message might have been:

Yea, that could be it, right? We couldn't possibly be living in a world where a church that supports tolerance for all human beings could be the target of vandalism, could we?

Because that sort of society would be frightening...and baby don't like to be frightened.
