TVC now gunnin' for Rosa Parks
Our ol' drinking buddies at The Traditional Values Coalition have their intolerant panties in a wad, yet again.
Yesterday we told you about the clan's disapproval of the "Dear Abby" newspaper column, due to some recent gay-friendly advice dished out by Ms. Van Buren.
Well, the motley crew has found yet another unlikely target in their war to eliminate the world of all things fruity: 92-year old civil rights pioneer, Rosa Parks.
TVC's frustration with sweet Ms. Parks lies in the fact that she has lent her good name to The National Campaign for Tolerance, a program spearheaded by The Southern Poverty Law Center. The campaign's website says the program is aimed at "enlisting five million people to participate in tolerance initiatives and related activities in their local communities,"which is of course diametrically opposed to TVC's own mission of polluting America's communities with intolerance, homophobia and Wal-Mart.
Apparently TVC would launch their own National Intolerance Campaign to combat the peace-loving program, but Republican lawmakers have already beaten them to the punch with a lil' something called The Federal Marriage Amendment.
