Report: DVD pushes Alexander back in closet

by Jeremy Hooper

According to Contactmusic.com, director Oliver Stone has re-edited the DVD version of his 2004 flop Alexander so that the relationship between Colin Farrell's Alex and Jared Leto's Hephaistion will seem like a mere friendship. Stone is said to be de-gaying the film, thus denying historical truth, in hopes that it will play better with conservative viewers who don't wanna picture Farrell and Jordan Catalano gettin' it on like cats in heat.

What the hell is wrong with them?

Taking a cue from Stone, we hear that Brian Singer has also decided to make some changes to historical truth for his upcoming Harvey Milk biopic. Rumor has it that the Milk in his film will be portrayed as a Republican heterosexual father of three, with a kooky talking dog voiced by Will Ferrell.

Oh, Hollywood.
