Alanis gives "Ironic" a gay-friendly makeover
On the upcoming re-release of her hit album Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morissette has made one lyrical change in order to voice her support for the gay community. On the song "Ironic," the Canadian songbird has changed the lyric "Meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful wife" to "Meeting the man of my dreams and meeting his beautiful husband."
Love that Canuck.
In a related story, we hear rumors that country crooner Charlie Daniels is considering re-releasing his 70's ditty, "Fag Song," except this time he will change the lyric "this funny lookin feller kept comin' on, and he was makin' me mad with some of the things he said. And then he put his hand on my knee, and I said if you don't get your paw off me, I'm gonna locate your nose around on the side of your head. He said I love it when you get that fire in your eye, I said partner try this on for size, and I unloaded on him and he went out like a light," to the more pro-family-friendly "Saw a fruit who he made me feel darn right funny, 'dem people don't deserve to have their own honey, so I said feller' I'm gonna go vote to take 'nother of your rights away."
Love that...hat.
