Lars Clausen: Spreading acceptance via one big ass wheel
In what might be the most charming display of support for the gay community we've ever heard of, openly straight pastor Lars Clausen is currently unicycling across the East Coast, collecting "human stories" of gay Americans as he goes along. Clausen will then turn these stories into a book, which he'll call Straight into Gay America.
For now Clausen is in Massachusetts, and will be making his way to New York City this weekend for the big ol' Gay Pride Parade.
Inspired by Clausen's commitment to bettering the world through unorthodox methods of transportation, we at G-A-Y have decided the rest of our day's journeys will be made via pogo ball. The bewildered stares we ilicit will be captured through our trusty camera phone, which we will then post on flickr under the tag "Queer on an Obscure Toy." We're not exactly sure how this will benefit mankind, though the nostalgia of it all should certainly help to brighten a few days.
Look for Clausen in an East Coast city near you; look for our dumb arses somewhere near the corner of 'It's Way Too Hot Outside' and 'Never Gonna Happen.'
