Cost of 'outing' reaches nearly 300k; d*mn inflation
A judge has ordered Univision Radio to pay $270,000 to one Mr. Roberto Hernandez of San Francisco, after one of its Houston-based Spanish-language radio shows identified the man as a homo-gay live on-air. Hernandez (who worked for KSOL, the local station that carried the "outing" show) claims the incident caused him great distress and forced him to quit his job, leading to seven months of unemployment and a whole lot of turmoil.
Upon hearing this story, we at G-A-Y had only one thought: If any radio station wants to give us a call, have a little chat, maybe insinuate that we're a bunch of 'mos - that would be so fine. Like don't even say "hi" when we pick up, just scream out "Yo, nelly butt pirate!" and let the whole world get a nice little giggle at your...err, our...expense. Satellite radio, you guys can totally play, too. Impoverished 'Podcasters', however, need not apply.
Queer operators are waiting by the Skype. Let us help you make great radio.
