Mass priest yanked from Mass for not trying to ban marriage between a lass and lass

by Jeremy Hooper

Father George Lange (pic.) of Westborough, Massachusetts, was temporarily replaced as pastor of Saint Luke the Evangelist Church last weekend, due to his refusal to support the state bishops' efforts to ban 'mo marriage. The nonpermanent ousting reportedly came after Lange and an associate pastor posted a message in their Sept. 11 church bulletin reading, "The priests of this parish do not feel that they can support this amendment. They do not see any value to it and they see it as an attack upon certain people in our parish, namely those who are gay." Much more controversial than the bulletin's message that "The men's bowling league will meet on Thursday instead of Tuesday," which lead only to a nonpermanent inconvenience, namely for those who enjoy recreational outings.

This short-term ousting was said to upset many of Lange's parishioners, namely those who are reasonable.
