Cowardly New World: IN Senator seeking reproduction ban for singles, gays

by Jeremy Hooper

Indiana state Senator Patricia Miller (pic.) has introduced legislation that would prevent queers and single heteros from using scientific reproduction procedures (in vitro, egg donation, etc.) to assist them in conceiving a child. The unbelievable bill, which is currently making its way through a committee, would require women in the state to meet certain criteria -- such as being married to someone of the opposite sex and proving that they have participated in "faith-based or church activities" -- before seeking such medical treatment.

The legislation is said to be co-sponsored by state Senators Ignorance, Foolish, and Unenlightened.
