Trek's Sulu sets phaser to stunning floral arrangement...I love what you did with the lilacs!

Actor George Takei (pic.), best known as Mr. Hikaru Sulu in the "Star Trek" TV series, movies, and multiple conventions of nerditude, has chosen to boldly go where not enough homosexual actors have gone before, by publicly revealing that he's gay. The 68-year-old Takei made the announcement in LA's Frontiers magazine, in an interview in which he also reveals that he's been with his partner, Brad Altman, for 18 years.

Be sure to look for Takei to appear in Star Trek 11: The Wrath of the Religious Right, debuting in "pro-family" press releases later this afternoon.
