7 Golden nods for 'Brokeback'; sadly, 'Bewitched' grabbed 0

by Jeremy Hooper

Announced this morning: Seven major Golden Globe nominations for Brokeback Mountain, including Best Actor for Heath Ledger, Best Supporting Actress for Michelle Williams, Best Director for Ang Lee, and Best Picture for the whole she-bang.

And though the boys will accept the bulbous Globes into their lives if they must, in their hearts and thoughts, they will secretly be pining for Oscar. No golden knockers can quiet the thoughts of his manly form.

But congrats Brokebackers and Brokebackers' publicists -- the Hollywood Foreign Press has now validated your cinematic existence, and that's something.
