'Brokeback' uber-critic books another Fox News gig

by Jeremy Hooper

According to World Net Daily, WND vice president and harsh Brokeback Mountain critic, David Kupelian (pic.), will appear today on the Fox News program "Your World with Neil Cavuto," where he will once again take to the "Fair & Balanced" net's airwaves to attack the critically adored film. Not that we don't think it's fair to have Mr. "the powerful cowboy image is being used to sell us on another self-destructive product: homosexual sex and "gay" marriage" on the show, it's just that on his last Fox appearance, there was not one dissenting voice to challenge his "homosexual propaganda" claims and his "rape of the Marlboro man" criticisms. It's the "balanced" part of the network's founding principle that we're hoping to to see more of in this outing.

So far there's no word if, unlike Kupelian's December 30 Fox News booking, the net will this time have at least one pro-Brokeback voice on to challenge his words. Curiously, however, we did see a monkey adorned in an "I love Brokeback" tee standing outside of the net's studios this morning, where he was busily hurling caca. Don't let us down, simian rights fighter.

**UPDATE (3:04): We have just heard from GLAAD, who say they will now be appearing on the show to represent the pro-Brokeback side. Sorry, monkey.

**UPDATE (4:28): We'll have to say, it turned out pretty balanced. Thanks and congrats to GLAAD's Glennda Testone for keeping the ridiculous "Brokeback vs. King Kong" juxtaposition in check.
