Continuing along its quest to anger anti-gays via award show dominance and widespread acclaim, Brokeback Mountain has now picked up 9 The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) nominations.

A BAFTA award is commonly known here in the states as "the British Oscar," which of course means that unlike our golden statue, this one's uncut.

The BAFTAs are scheduled for February 19, with the Academy Awards to be held AFTA on March 5. We'd like to tell our cowboys to enjoy their tryst with the debonair Brit, but also just warn them that it's Mr. O with whom they truly wanna spend a lifetime of polishing, mantel-placing, and possibly Ebaying, should their career dry up.
