TX Southern Baptists boot church for not sufficiently shunning 'mos

Due to its support and allowance of a gay-welcoming, gay-affirming, female pastor-featuring group called Eklektos to conduct a worship on its premises, the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention has reportedly "disaffiliated" with Bayton, Texas's Faith Harbour Church. Reacting to the decision, the pastor of Faith Harbour, Randy Haney, tells the AP:

"They were convinced I was starting a gay church and setting up a woman as pastor," Haney said Thursday. "I believe the Bible very clearly teach that homosexuality is wrong, but I also believe the Bible teaches that we are to love those who are homosexual and minister to them."

So wait -- he believes and propagates the belief that homosexuality is sinful and STILL gets booted from the SBTC for being too gay-friendly? What do they want, pastors who only allow the Lord's Prayer to be recited by those capable of doing so without a sibilant 's'? Pastors who insist on boy-girl-boy-girl pew arrangements? Pastors who turn away men whose ties coordinate too well with their shirts? Pastors who won't allow men into the sanctuary if they enter in the rear?

Unbelievable.

No word on what's next on the SBTC's agenda, though rumor has it they're currently considering whether a homophobic pastor should be booted from the Convention, as its been discovered that while flipping through the channels one Thursday night, the batteries in his remote suddenly died, leaving his TV on "Will & Grace" for a period exceeding 1 minute.
