Wash House approves of gay rights bill; Gay Bill approves of right to wash house

By a vote of 60-37, the Washington state House today passed a measure that would outlaw discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation throughout the state that bears George's surname. The bill now heads to the state Senate, where, thanks to Sen Bill Finkbeiner's tolerant turn, it is expected to pass.

So you know what this could mean, Washington gays? In just a short time, your raging case of 'mo may no longer be acceptable grounds for someone to deny you an apartment, job, or just about anything (except of course for a wedding). Can you say American dream?

The Senate is expected to act on the bill quickly -- here's sincerely hoping that "act" is performed with class.
