Taking Wednesday's anti-gay marriage House Commitee vote to the next level, the full Virginia House of Delegates today voted 73-22 to add a same-sex nuptials ban to their state constitution. Shocker.

The nonsense now must undergo another House vote before it heads to the Senate, and if approved there, will be put to the state's voters this November. If it fails, those things you see flying in the air will likely be pigs, folks will surely greet you with "Happy 12th of Never," and the coolness you feel on the ground will be due to the sudden subzero temperatures in Hades.

We're hopeful, gay friends -- but just between you and us, booking that chapel in Arlington is probably not the best of ideas.
