Celebrating the macabre: NY gays gain partner burial rights

   New York governor George Pataki (pic.) has signed into law a bill that affords the state's domestic partners the right to make funeral decisions for their departed partners.

Speaking on behalf of all gay New Yorkers, your humble scribe would simply like to thank the Governor for granting us the right to cry only because our partner has kicked the proverbial bucket, not because they've been unfortunately attired in a cheap suit chosen by their estranged, fashionably challenged sister.

It's the little things in afterlife.
