In which we hope a Concerned Woman's skirmish won't ruin our reception
Responding to the Maryland Democrats taking of a stand and having an anti-gay marriage bill killed in Committee last week, Concerned Women for America's Maryland State Director, Evalena Gray (pic.), says:
“It’s a sad day for Maryland, but we aren’t about to let one man destroy marriage”...“Paraphrasing John Paul Jones, ‘We have not yet begun to fight.’”
Responding to Ms. Gray, we say:
"Yea, about that fighting -- could you actually hold off on that until after we get hitched in Annapolis? As soon as that judge struck down your state's marriage law, we started making plans and tentatively booked the venue. We'd really hate to see our early efforts ruined by ruffhousing, so maybe you could just halt the fisticuffs until after we're free to say "I do." You understand, right? Thanks."
It remains to be seen what sort of artillery the Concerned Women will employ once they do begin to fight, though we'll be sure to stick with our weapons of truth, decency, fairness, and poop jokes.
