Minn. group to say they're rallying 'for marriage' and somehow keep a straight face
The group Minnesota For Marriage is holding an anti-gay marriage rally today at the state Capitol in St. Paul. Concurrently, we will today shake our heads and say to ourselves, "You guys' name is total and utter bull poop. You're not FOR marriage; you're against one kind of marriage. You're totally entitled to have that opinion and work to oppose same-sex nups, but please do so under a less deceptive moniker. Would'nt ya know, we just so happen to have some suggestions:
- Minnesotans for Marriages Wherein the "I Now Pronounce You..." Portion Won't Need to be Altered
- Minnesotans for Marriages That Gays Are Allowed, Even Preferred, To Plan, But Not Free To Participate
- Minnesotans for Marriages That Will Play YMCA At The Reception, With Most Of the Guests Unaware They're Shaking It To The Gayest Song On The Face Of The Planet
- Minnesotans for Marriages That Won't Make The Participants' Obligatory Closeted Friend(s) Feel Uncomfortable
- Minnesotans For Taking A Metaphorical Sharpie and Drawing A Huge Black Mark On Their State's History
