Gay Games jump through yet another Crystal Lake-based hoop
Following in the footsteps of the town's park district board, the city council of Crystal Lake, IL, voted 6-1 last night to allow the Gay Games to hold rowing events on the body of water that gives the town its name. With this approval, organizers now only need a go-ahead from the neighboring town of Lakewood in order for the oar-powered events to take place.
Though considering the drama this damn event has caused for all involved, we'd like to suggest that Games officials halt the whole process and consider another Crystal body of water:
