Poll: NY marriage support grows; Bizarre: our somehow relating this to an 80's video game
A new poll released by the Empire State Pride Agenda shows that support for gay marriage in New York state has increased from 47% in 2004 to a high of 53% this year, while opposition in the same period has dropped from 46% in '04 to a current low of 38%:
Promising. Here's hoping that in the very near future, the two sides can come together to swallow the concept of 'mo marriage....
...so that we can then work together to take the notion of equality to the next level. The only way we can beat our own previous high score is to power up and fully combat the Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Clydes of discrimination, until all of us -- gay, straight or genitalia-less yellow video game character -- are free to fully live our lives. Let's form a pact, man!
Be sure to look for our future analysis of poll results, when the hypnotizing effects of a new Spring sun will lead us to clumsily interpret a pro-gay adoption bar graph by pointing out its aesthetic similarity to a Qbert board. You can just make note to skip that one now -- we won't be offended.
