AFA pissed at Ford again; just wait until we tell our partner and partner and partner and partner...

When we get an email from the American Family Association telling us:

...there is but only one thought that comes to mind: clearly the auto giant drove a Mustang up a pig's bumhole and forced him to squeal the Star Spangled Banner while they accompanied him on a kazoo. Those bastards.

So imagine our surprise when we learned that Ford actually didn't violate a porcine mammal's personal space, but rather advertised in the gay magazine The Advocate.

Hmmm -- well that doesn't seem shocking in the least.

However, considering the AFA is currently boycotting Ford because of the company's "support of the homosexual agenda," the ad reads to the "pro-family" group like yet another militarized action in this country's so-called "culture war." But to make matters more annoying, The Advocate issue in question just so happens to feature the cover story:

Picture 2-110

...which gives the AFA carte blanche to link this investigation into a rare niche segment of gay life to the bigger gay picture. The "pro-family" group says in their email, "Ford's support for the magazine's promotion of homosexual polygamy leaves no doubt that Ford means to continue pushing the homosexual agenda, even including homosexual polygamy. "

Because, ya know, that is how magazine advertising works -- a company agrees to sponsor every single bit of editorial content contained within the publication's pages and to take a side on every investigative report that the magazine runs. After all, great publishing does come from an environment in which content is controlled wholly by advertising. So yea -- great line of reasoning, AFA. Seriously -- airtight logic with absolutely no holes, other than the numerous ones.

It's unclear as to what gay-friendly company practices the AFA will next criticize Ford. Bizarrely, however, we were just getting gas pumped into our new Mustang, and when we told our backseat-preferring same-sex friend, "You enter the rear while he services me," we saw some ultra-conservative eyes giving both ourselves and our car supremely disparaging glances.

You Will Absolutely Not Believe What Ford Has Done Now [AFA Action Alert]
