Caren MacDonald, a mother who's being tried in Florida for a 2001 incident in which she snatched her son from his Broward county school and fled to Costa Rica, reportedly told a judge yesterday that she nabbed the kid because she feared her gay ex-husband (with whom the child was living) would "turn" her son gay. Meaning, of course, that in addition to being gay, her ex-husband must also be a magician capable of altering others' internal makeup and truth. Talented, he.

No word on whether Ms. MacDonald feared her own actions would make her son "grabby;" however, it does certainly sound like she's trying to lead the lad to "snatch." Whatever that means.
