Mary Cheney bio to hit shelves next week; shelves glad they're only getting hit, not shot in the face

by Jeremy Hooper

In Mary Cheney's forthcoming biography, Now It's My Turn, the vice president's daughter says her father's words when she revealed she was gay “were exactly the ones that I wanted to hear: ‘You’re my daughter, and I love you, and I just want you to be happy.’”

We have yet to hear what words Mary uttered when she learned her father would work for an administration dead set on banning her right to marry her partner, though we'd imagine they were along the lines of "eh, well my boss wants to eliminate casual Fridays -- we've all got our work-related bullshit."

If you'd like to read Mary's bio, it will be on bookstore shelves May 9. Look for it somewhere between a rock and a hard place.
