Westboro to challenge lawsuits against them; but will 'God Hates Legal Frivolity' signs be allowed in court

by Jeremy Hooper

Responding to the news that a father is filing a lawsuit against their Westboro Baptist Church for protesting at his son's funeral, the Phelps clan has announced that they'll launch counter suits against "anyone filing frivolous litigation against WBC."

Additionally, we hear they 'll keep fighting the daily battle of 'Sanity v. Westboro' from now until judgement day.

We do have to say that we actually don't think their counter suit would be without legal merit, as even though they work well beyond the boundaries of decency, they do tend to operate within the parameters of the law. That's not us saying folks shouldn't sue them; it's just us saying to be careful, as having to pay them damages is a fate which nobody's bank account deserves. Of course the only time we wear a black robe is when we attend our secret "Homos Out To Destroy Society" meetings to discuss our agenda, so take our legal advice for what it's worth. However, if you find it worthwhile, there's a donation button in the lower right corner of this site; we accept all major credit cards and Paypal.

For more info on Westboro's plans to go a courtin', their release (uploaded to our server so you don't have to visit their site) is below:

WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH RESPONDS: PICKETING WILL CONTINUE; ANYONE FILING FRIVOLOUS LITIGATION AGAINST WBC WILL BE NAMED IN A LAWSUIT FOR VIOLATION OF CIVIL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THEIR ATTORNEYS AND ANY MEMBERS OF THE US MILITARY INVOLVED[Westboro PDF, uploaded to our own server]
