Uncle Jesse, marriage advocate: Stamos enlists in 'Wedding Wars'

A&E has announced that they'll air a TV movie called "Wedding Wars," in which John Stamos (pic.) will play a gay wedding planner who goes on strike from preparing his brother's ceremony when he learns that his bro's boss, the governor of Maine, is an opponent of marriage equality. The actions of Stamos' character will reportedly lead gay marriage supporters nationwide to also go on strike.

Once again proving our theory: If you want to get gays across the country to actually step up and take action on this issue, you must present the possibility that doing so could lead them to eventually walk down the aisle with John Stamos.

Our dream for the film? That the head of the flick's staunchly conservative, anti-gay women's group will be none other than....

...Kimmy Gibler.

::sigh:: We miss that awkward gal.
