'I am gay, and this is where I...encourage you to not kick my ass'

by Jeremy Hooper

The New York State Black Gay Network has begun running ads throughout New York City that encourage gay acceptance among the African-American community. Especially Charlize Theron:

The campaign consists of three different ads, all of which feature the line "I AM GAY" and then a subsequent line reading, "AND THIS IS WHERE I..." "PLAY," "STAY," or "PRAY," depending on the activity depicted in the ad. We hear that there may be a female-centric campaign in the future, just as soon as someone invents an activity that rhymes with "LESBIAN."
