Keep it in the fam: Gay candidate poised to take gay's seat

by Jeremy Hooper

Good As You Images Picture-11-6 1Jamie Pedersen, a Seattle attorney and gay rights activist, has officially received the Dem. nomination to replace openly gay state Rep. Ed Murray (who's leaving to make a Senate bid).

Relatedly, "Jay, me peter's in" has our nomination for the most Irish-sounding way for an openly gay man to tell his receptive partner Jay that he's rarin' to go. Whatever that means.

Pedersen will be up against Republican challenger Hugh Foskett and Progressive Party contender Linde Knighton in November. "Peter's in" will be up against "Dick Sinside."
