Don't Ask, Don't Tell, Don't Blog

In light of the news that the military is monitoring the Internet activities of military personnel, the pro-gay cadets at the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network (SLDN) are warning LGBT soldiers about posting their sexual orientation anywhere online.

To which we replyy: "On second thought....

Spinoff

...perhaps we better hold off on launching our planned spinoff site."

Just bad timing, that planned venture!

SLDN is, of course, concerned about the soldier's welfare, because under the existing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" ban on openly gay military personnel, an online de-closeting could lead to a real-life army dismissal. No word on how a straight soldier might be punished if a gay porn pop-up ad just so happens to tarnish their viewing of acceptably hetero smut; though we hear Congress is considering taking up the "Penile Pop-ups Won't Penalize Act of 2006" to handle such situations.
