Houston landscaper practicing homo-centric shrubbery snubbery?
Houston landscaping company Garden Guy, Inc. has allegedly responded to a potential client with the following emailed message:

Subject: Cancel Appt -Garden Guy
Dear Mr. L.,
I am appreciative of your time on the phone today and glad you contacted us.
I need to tell you that we cannot meet with you because we choose not to
work for homosexuals.
Best of luck in finding someone else to fill your landscaping needs.

Which is really a bit ironic, as it does seem to be the gay community who is most interested in trimming their bushes. Whatever that means.
We have contacted the company to verify and clarify their policy in terms of gay folks:
Here's hoping they don't "hedge" around the question. We'll keep you posted.

"To the Houston Media
We did not refuse service with malicious intent. We do not hate homosexuals and we are sorry that we hurt [ the gay couple ]. We meant to uphold our right as a small business owner to choose who our clients are. We are humbly sorry for the hurt that it has caused.

Ugh..do they seriously not get it?!?!? We don't use this word lightly or often, but we're thinking a BOYCOTT might be in order.
