New record: McCain waffles in the span of one broadcast
"On the issue of the gay marriage, I believe if people want to have private ceremonies that's fine. I do not believe that gay marriage should be legal."
So basically, if gays want to play make-believe in the same way that a five year old can give his crush a LifeSaver and declare the toddling twosome bound for life (or at least until junior high), then McCain is totally down with that. But don't dare introduce the MARRIAGE part of gay marriage -- that's where he draws the line.
But that's okay, Senator McCain, as should you run for Prez in '08, we will totally support and vote for you in every way except for the "will" part.
