Valentine shows gays no love
Okay, what's the deal with landscaping businesses? Do horticulture and homophobia have some sort of hidden connection that we don't know about? We ask, because after learning on Wednesday that a Texas landscaping company called Garden Guy, Inc. is apparently refusing business to gay customers, and then learning today that a Idaho business owner has put a sign up outside of his own landscape supply business reading, “Peds queers fags your (sic) in Idaho now…,” we're beginning to wonder if we should ever allow a garden shears-wielding professional near us again!
Yes, my friends, a Mr. Jim Valentine has actually installed the aforementioned "gays/pedophiles"-linking sign outside of his Port Falls, ID, business...
... with the reverse side reading, “Don’t fruit with Idaho kill yo-yo boy,” a message apparently directed to a local convicted killer and child molester.
Because seriously -- what says "come buy landscape supplies" like "gays, or 'fags,' are somehow connected to child molesters who kill and...play with yo yos?" As welcoming as it is inoffensive, this sign!
Though we do find it kind of funny that he used improper grammar (your/you're) in his sign, as it would seem that his conduct itself has completely bastardized the heartfelt, good-natured feelings that are usually invoked via the word "Valentine."
