Will Conservative Jews light the candle of acceptance this Hanukkah season?
Following up on matter they postponed in March, The Rabbinical Assembly Committee on Jewish Law and Standards will meet in New York next week to decide whether or not the Conservative Jewish movement will accept openly gay rabbis and same-sex unions.
If passed, it is expected to be the first time in the history of journalism that the words "accept gays" and "conservative" have ever been used in the same headline.
