Jamba employees: if their name is 'Gay Dykeman,' then that's okay

by Jeremy Hooper

Picture 1-66A clerk at a Jamba Juice in Rancho Cordova, CA, was recently fired after it was discovered that instead of writing a customer's name on a receipt, he instead wrote the word "DYKE."

A story that has brought up a repressed memory for this gay writer, who just realized that every time he got a frozen drink while growing up in the 80's, the clerk offensively wrote the words "DAIRY QUEEN" on his receipt.

Bastards!

Your thoughts

I am so sick of these people saying that it is not ok to say the "N" word as it may offend african american people. Or to refer to "Little people" as "midgets" because that offends them. What irritates me is that it isn't really acceptable to say these things to thes people I've mentioned but it is for some reason perfectly acceptable for an african american woman to just go right up to me in the line of a convenient store and just start throwing the F-bomb around. She is perfectly allowed to call me a faggot and everyone around her is laughing, not because she's a crazy bag lady but because she is calling me a faggot and they think it's funny.

Well I don't. I'm sick and tired of that word being used so many times and nobody will defend you for fear of being called a faggot themselves. We need to get this word out of the english language.

And not replace the word faggot with slut or whore because a gay person and a person who has sex for pay or just really likes it all the time aren't even in the same ball park. I've been gay since I can remember at 5 years old and I was not then nor am I now a sexual deviant. In fact it's been perhaps 6 or 7 years since I've been intimate not that it's any business of anyone and my relationship has held steady for 13 years.

Just my 2 cents. I'm sick of being called a racist by people who turn around and call me a faggot. I'm not racist, in fact I would be ashamed of myself if I were because I have a lot more standards than that.
