'Radar' on prenatal gaydar

by Jeremy Hooper

Picture 10-25Last week, we briefly showed you how Southern Baptist Theological Seminary president Albert Mohler Jr was expressing support for any and all medical treatment to change one's sexuality from gay to straight, should a biological basis for sexuality ever be found. Well, the Radar magazine piece that inspired Mohler's frightening comments has now been posted online in its entirety:

Is Your Baby Gay? [Radar]

Oh, and one more thing: if you have to even ask yourself whether or not you would terminate a pregnancy solely because you knew the child would become gay, then please go away and never visit this site again. Your traffic just isn't worth it.

**Actually on second thought: Please stay, as you are most likely the type of person who needs to hear a pro-gay message more than anyone.

Your thoughts

But I thought you were supportive of a woman's right to have an abortion at any time, for any reason.

Well I don't know why you would assume that, as we've almost never addressed the topic of abortion. And while we won't get into the politics of a woman's right to choose, as that is not the "culture war issue" with which we deal, we will say unapologetically: We will never be supportive of the kind of woman -- whether she has the right or not -- who has an abortion for the sole reason that the child would've been gay.

I would have thought that the women considering such things would have been exactly the sort you'd want revisiting... After all, there's very little point in constantly preaching to the choir...

You're actually right, and an update has been added to reflect that.

Wow, Thank god I live in the EU/UK.

You have some scary people living over there.

If this nonsense was even suggested over here, the baptist oaf would be hauled off by the politically correct police, and rightly so.

Hitler already tried what he desires.
