Dude, we're totally happy (and a bit surprised) that you're fine with gay marriage. But you see, my friend -- many people are not. Many, many people want us marginalized, "changed," shunned, or worse. The only reason why you hear so much about gay people is not because we have this deep desire to talk about our sexual orientations. It's because so many others want their unwelcoming views on our lives shoved down society' s throat.
As for diaper-based parade attire: Well, have you ever seen the port-a-potties at these things? Blech!

We're a country based on laws and our constitution? Has this guy looked at what George Bush has done to the laws and constitution? His defintion of invaders is interesting. Doesn't that make the USA invaders of Iraq?
You're so right about the port-a-pots. At last year's Pride, the booth I was working was directly in front of the port-a-pots, and ..... nevermind, I wish to forget it.

Someone wants to be a radio personality. Poor guy needs to lay off the sauce. He's all puffy and cannot keep his thoughts clear enough for broadcast.
As for Pride; has he never seen Carnival or Mardi Gras?

Shoving it down his throat? Who was shoving it down his throat? It's not like we're taking him out to the street, taping his eyes open, and forcing him to watch the parades.
I'm not personally in for the gay pride parade scene, but perhaps the reason people do this is for visibility. Without large gatherings like this, people assume we are very small in number, and fail to realize how very populous the gay community is. They would assume any anti-gay actions of theirs would scarcely offend anyone: that the number of gay people around would be so small, they could be ignored.
That's my idea, anyway.
