Vandals protect marriage of 'anti-gay' and 'biblical'

by Jeremy Hooper

So recently we told you about a gay-positive campaign that has been launched in the Indianapolis area, in which various Biblical passages are suggested to have actually contained pro-gay messages. Well, sadly we have just received word from Bil Browning of Bilerico that some of the billboards in the campaign are being defaced with anti-gay sentiment:

Browning also reports that many of the yard signs distributed as part of the campaign have been removed by those trying to silence the gay-affirming Christian messages.

It's just all so morally righteous, we can barely stand it!

But hey, who's really surprised? After all, why should considered analysis and interpretation be applied to something as meaningful as the Bible? Why should any Christian's response to these billboards be, "Ya know, I do need to do more research and consideration on this massive, sometimes contradictory book that is frequently used as a weapon to demonize millions!" when they can just scream "BLASPHEMY!" and go back to eating shellfish, cutting their hair, working on the Sabbath, and wearing poly-cotton blends? Why should anyone tolerate reasoned discourse, when raging judgement makes one feel so morally superior?

::sigh:: It's all so disturbing. For more on the situation and for the latest updates, head over to Bilerico:
