Rumor: Burke scrubbing out

by Jeremy Hooper

IsaiahIt is being rumored that Isaiah Washington -- best known in the past year for his repeated uses of "the F word" and as the catalyst for T.R. Knight's outing -- will not return to "Grey's Anatomy" next season as a series regular. However, it is also being said that he will still make some special appearances on America's favorite medical show in which everyone has hooked up/ will eventually hook up with everyone else.

Interesting. But again, this is all unverified. For all we really know, he could be following in Addison's footsteps and getting his own spinoff, "Preston Burke: Sexual Reassignment Surgeon." Who the hell really knows, other than Washington, show runners, and that one nosy intern who keeps eavesdropping on person staff conversations when he should be getting coffee?

We may or not keep you posted as more information trickles in from the Left Coast. That all very much depends on (a) how slow the news day is, and (b) how badly we need a break from dealing with things like hate crimes legislation, "ex-gays, and Focus on the Family.
