Mike, we're not homo-OH-MY-GOD-THE-SEX-WAS-AMAZING-uals

by Jeremy Hooper

Q. You know what's annoying? A. How the religious conservatives always address gay matters in a way that makes it sound like the LGBT community talks about nothing more than sex.

Picture 3-59Here is a quote from Michael Heath regarding gay activists in his state (highlighting our own):

"They aren't going to be stopped in Maine by anything short of the truth. And the truth is that homosexuality is perverse, deviant and disgusting sexual behavior that isn't a topic of discussion in polite and civil societies. If people want to do it in the privacy of their home then shame on them, but I'm not interested in stopping their boorish bedroom antics anymore than I'm interested in hearing about it."

Because I don't know about you, but this writer cares to do nothing more than to run off and discuss the intimate details of his sex life with Michael Heath. In fact, isn't that on like page 23 of our "agenda" -- "POST-COITUS, ALL ADOPTERS OF THE HOMOSEXUAL LIFESTYLE MUST GO FIND THE NEAREST CHRISTIAN CONSERVATIVE AND SHARE THE LASCIVIOUS DETAILS"? I think it's page 23, though I might be confusing it with page 37: "SIPHON A FERAL GOAT'S BLOOD AND PROCEED TO SPIT IT ON THE NEAREST BIBLE."

And of course the other thing Heath neglects to factor in: Gay people don't typically want to hear about hetero sex either! In fact, most people don;t want to hear about ANYONE'S sex life as part of their everyday routine!! Why is that whenever social conservatives picture us loving, marrying, sharing a life, raising kids, watching TV, cooking dinner, or just plain EXISTING, they have to picture us in flagrante delicto? Perhaps it's not our minds that are "perverse"!

For more of Heath's gay marriage musings, read his press release below. While you're doing that, your humble scribe is going to swing by the Archdiocese of New York and have an "oral" discussion go purchase bok choy at the grocery store.

Your thoughts

These comments come less than two weeks after Heath announced that he ..."has allowed deep concerns over sexual morality to drop from its (the CCLMaine) top priority ranking"
The RECORD (their on-line Newspaper) has another press release about this where they accuse a long-time league supporter of defecting because he told them their stance "makes them look hateful" THAT is the understatement of the millenium. They write the book on Hate and do it in God's name.

He's not interested in hearing about it because he'd much rather spend all his time talking about it.

Homosexuality is perverse. Pedophiles think they love, bestialites think they love, necrophiles think they love. Like all perverse sexualities, there are underlying psychological problems.

It's interesting how people like Samm always comment on old threads, a year or two after they are abandoned.

Come join the current conversation, Samm. We won't bite.
