It'll be a 'gays are hijacking the civil rights movement of blacks' tie affair
Clear your calendars, folks. For it has been announced that on Saturday October 6, extreme anti-gay personality Peter LaBarbera will hold the first annual fundraising banquet for his equally queer-unfriendly Americans For Truth organization.
So what can you expect? Well, there will be a silent auction (where having no cents will make you despise three dollar bills). There will be a dinner (for the energy to both condemn gays and put up the front that you are acting out of love). And there'll be words of wisdom from newly converted "ex-gay" Charlene Cothran and the face of Massachusetts heterosexist parenting, David Parker. And all this for only $50 a person or $500 a table.
A steal, really! Not in terms of price, mind you. But rather a steal in terms of the way they will use the event to further hijack the concepts of normalcy, morality, family, marriage, equality, decency, and civil rights.
So save the date, kids. And if you're gay, save yourself the trouble of finding a date, as your same-sex partner will surely be unwelcome anyway!
