AR: Potential historical pockmark dealt a blow
We're happy to report that Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has announced that he'll reject a proposed initiative that is intended to keep both gay and unmarried straight couples from becoming foster/adoptive parents:
AG Will Reject Gay Foster Parents Ban [AP via ABC News]
Though don't put on your dancing shoes just yet, Ark. gays. The group responsible for the proposed cow dung, the Arkansas Family Council, is free to redraft and resubmit the mean-spirited attempt to deprive children on what could be loving homes, at which point the AG very well might certify it. Then the "family" group could begin the process of collecting the signatures needed to place the cruel concept on the state's 2008 ballot.
But let's not think about that for now. for now, let's think about the fact that the group that helps foster usage of gay slurs have themselves gotten an "F" from the "AG"!
