Just a thought

by Jeremy Hooper

RomnDo those who present everything gays do as an attack on "religious freedom" not see the hypocrisy of attacking Mitt Romney because he happens to be a Mormon? Because while we would sooner vote for a tomato than for Romney, we are simply appalled that those who dedicate their lives so fully to religion and faith are forcing Mitt to show them enough similarities between his religion and theirs in order to be blessed with their monolithic vote!

To the evangelical community, "religious freedom" means the freedom for their personal beliefs to shape the national conversation and policy in an unencumbered fashion, even when it comes at the expense of everyone else's rights and liberties. Their litmus test regarding Romney is yet another demonstration of this.
