Pandemic flu & queers: A non-kosher linkage
Oy, what is it with prominent Jewish leaders and linking gays to bird flu? Back in 2006, we saw Rabbi David Bari claiming that a deadly bird flu outbreak was brought upon by Israeli politiicans who were calling for the legalization of same-sex marriage. Now, almost two years later, comes word that Israeli politician and member of the Knesset for Shas, Nissim Ze'ev, thinks the "Homosexual-Lesbian movement is an epidemic and should be dealt with like the Health Ministry deals with bird flu." Be sure to look for future statements from the Israeli leader, when we predict he'll compare the transgender community to the Black Plague, bisexuals to heart disease, and those heteros who support gay rights as "a really bad case of explosive diarrhea that keeps one on the toilet for a period exceeding thirty minutes, leaving them with the inability to sit comfortably for the rest of the afternoon."
