Video: Mom, dad, millions of strangers: I'm gay

by Jeremy Hooper

Coming out over Thanksgiving dinner is sooooooo last century. Today's youth are eschewing such Turkey Day revelations for less personal, less Tryptophaden-laden methods of conveying their gay truths. For example, in this clip from "The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet", listen how 20-year-old Vincent Cervantes used his Myspace to tell the world which gender he wants sharing his space:

Myspace de-closetings. So hip. So now. To think it was only a few years ago that the most popular form of Internet outing involved finding SeanCody.com in your son's Internet history. ::sigh:: It's changing everything, this technology!

Now if only someone could invent a way to make society view homosexual orientation as the sort of non-event that enjoys casual acceptance rather than a grand announcement -- well, that'd be an almost more welcome advancement than a solar-powered HD iPhone Nano with built-in Tivo and Wii. Almost.
