Courting the gay donkeys

200802111132-1We're told there's some sort of national election going on that doesn't involve Randy, Paula, or Simon. So being gays who care about gay things, we thought we would round up some of the LGBT interest stories concerning the candidates in that alternate American contest:

*Gay Clinton Backers Defect to Obama, Eroding Her Base [Bloomberg]

*Clinton pledges federal benefits for couples [Edge]

*Brokeback Barack: Our First Gay President? [HuffPo]

*(Obama) Selling gay rights [Politico]

*Hypocrite of the Week: Barack Obama [GayWired]

*Obama's Targeted Texas and Ohio Gay Ad Buy [Towle]

*The Urgent, Clear Choice For Gay Voters: Obama [Andrew Sullivan]

*Obama's Open Letter to the LGBT Community [BarackObama.com]

*Steve Ralls on Clinton's unprecedent conference call with reporters from LGBT media outlets [Bilerico]
*What Will Gay and Lesbians Get for Their Obama Cash? [Taylor Marsh]

Unfortunately we don't have any insight into David Archuleta or Chikezie's stances on gay marriage. Which is really unacceptable, if you ask us.

Your thoughts

FYI, Hillary Clinton was key in passing Gay Marriage in Massachusetts by having her campaign manager, Terry McAuliffe, quietly calling legislators to sway their votes. Obama did nothing....Marriage is a basic civil right that should be attainable by all Americans. For the truth about gay marriage check out our trailer. Produced to educate & defuse the controversy it has a way of opening closed minds & provides some sanity on the issue: www.OUTTAKEonline.com
