We were just tipped off by the good folks at Equality Utah to this very telling Salt Lake Tribune pic. On the left, Salt Lake City resident Cristy Gleaves (an out lesbian) testifying before the Senate Health and Human Services Committee in favor of a recently initiated domestic partnership registry. On the right, Utah's most gay-unfriendly Senator, Chris Buttars, who is pushing legislation that would block the registry from going into effect:

Geez! If looks could kill equality, Mr. Buttars could move on to true social problems!

**UPDATE, 2/13: Pam has this doozy involving Buttars:

Your thoughts

I think he's got some poo on his upper lip. No idea what else could make his face look that sour.

I believe Sen. Buttars has some undisclosed medical malady. (Really!?) He was out sick during much of last year's legislature session. He looks considerably thinner this year. Something is medically wrong with him but I haven't heard what it is.

And I hope she turned to the scowling asshole and told him that he was a disgrace to humanity.

Thats a look of pure hate. Pure self hate. Equal rights for all!

Wow. What a piece of crap. Does he kiss his children with that face? I would warn him that it might stick that way but I think I am too late.

I look at him with the same look though.

I can feel the "christian love" with that glare.

Perhaps he's jealous, because the woman obviously can do most car and home repairs better than he could have ever done LOL
