200804021130Okay kids, so here's the deal: Daddy needs a vacation.  Contrary to popular belief, it can take its toll looking the dehumanizing, discriminatory anti-gay community in the eye on a daily basis and telling them they're (a) annoyingly deceptive, (b) eye-openingly unscrupulous, (c) depressingly myopic, (d) aggressively ignorant regarding LGBT people's true "agenda," (e) frighteningly willing to stifle American freedoms in order to create a society more in accordance with their personal faith views, (f) annoying hostile towards science, (g) bizarrely infatuated with Ronald Reagan, (h) totally gonna lose the next time we play Clue, and (i) totally gonna lose this so-called "culture war."

So what's this writer doing about it?  Well, I'm packing my bags and flying off to Cabo so that I can detox my mind's bullsh*t filter.  There's a slight chance that I might pop back on here for some beachside chatter; but I wouldn't be holding my breath if I were you.

Well, actually I will be holding my breath, because I plan to be under some form of water more often than not.  So I guess the above advice is not really the best anala.. -- OH WHATEVER!  The point is: I'm outta here, kittens!

Regular updates will resume Monday, 4/14.  In the meantime, feel free to keep traffic somewhat chugging along by mindlessly clicking through the site (and on the ads)!

**UPDATE, 4/05: Having a great time.  Here are some pics:

Jeremy, I hope you're having fun but you should have come to Puerto Vallarta instead - it's THE gay resort here in Mexico. We at Club MaƱana would have comped you all the way for your hard work.

Good for you Jeremy. For some reason I actually enjoy picking apart the arguments and comments of the homophobes. Check out my blog comments lately, I've got a mother-daughter team trotting out their biblically myopic world-view that are my current favorites.

This is a queer guy who studied the Bible so I know that they're committing the sin of omission. And they're going to pay for that but I know in reality their god is just a fairy tale so they'll just go along being the assholes that they are.

Have a nice vacation! You do a great job with G-A-Y, and you deserve it. Have fun!

"bizarrely infatuated with Ronald Reagan"

Lol, really? When I got old enough to know how much he screwed us all over I hated him. Cabo sounds so nice right about now. Have a nice vaca :)

Beautiful pictures!!! While you sunbathe in Cabo, I'm going to continue to freeze in Ottawa. Why couldn't my company have sent me to a tropical paradise?

Jeremy,

Looks like you're having a wonderful time.

But what's with the sunrise pictures? Why are you out of bed at dawn on vacation? I really hope that it's because you've been out drinking margaritas all night!!

:)

Enjoy the rest and I look forward to your comments when you get back

Have fun my dear.
I am jealous as hell here in the pacific northwest as I write papers for my 4 classes.

Hey, Jeremy,

Looks idyllic - hope it was a great time for you both - you certainly have earned it. Be well, be happy - - tom

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. We had a magical time. It really couldn't have been more relaxing or refreshing.

I'm now recharged and ready to enter the spring/summer leg of this gay/anti-gay dance.

Don't take life too serious none of us are getting out alive! Sally Kerns ,state rep from Oklahomo agrees we need equal protection at the workplace, who would have thought? Would not have happened if it were not for dedicated people like yourself! Look forward to a refreshed Jeremy! Peace
