Wow, it doesn't look a day over 100!

200805060942Via a wonderful little piece on the semantics behind our love lives, our pal Jim Burroway has informed us that today is the 140th birthday of the term "homosexuality":

Today In History: The Love That Dares Not Speak Its Name Gets A Name [Box Turtle Bulletin]

In lieu of presents, the term is asking that everyone give it the gift of shutting the f**k up about its supposedly controversial existence.
