Attention Kmart shoppers: There's a blue light special on 'I dos'
Until recently, Bill Stewart was an openly gay marketing officer for KMart. But now Bill has left the Martha Stewart-laden lands (and a six-figure salary) behind to join up as an unpaid volunteer with Equality for All, the organized campign to defeat the proposed marriage ban in California. Washinton Blade has all the details on Stewart and his altruistic move:

The good news: We have an important new marriage advocate who will surely use his business acumen to help us achieve the equality we all deserve.
The bad news: Mr. Stewart likely won't be able to afford a ring once we do win the marriage fight.
Though something tells us he'll be alright. And with enough people willing to put the whole above the self, we all will be.
